Great SDRs don't work more hours than average SDRs — they protect the right ones. Here's the block-by-block day we've seen produce top-decile pipeline from teams at Ramp, Vercel, and Rippling.

8:30–10:30 — Deep prospecting

No email, no Slack, no notifications. Two uninterrupted hours pulling and enriching a fresh list for the day's outreach. This is the single highest-leverage block in an SDR's calendar.

10:30–12:00 — First-touch outreach

Personalize and send the list you just built. Batch-personalize openers with AI grounded in the signals you captured while sourcing.

1:00–3:00 — Follow-up and multi-channel

Work replies, LinkedIn touches, and cold calls into open sequences. Reply rates for touch 3–5 usually beat touch 1 — protect this block.

The SDRs who hit 150% of quota in our sample spent 62% of their time on follow-up, not first touches.

3:00–5:00 — Meetings and CRM hygiene

Discovery calls, handoffs to AEs, and clean CRM notes. Never end the day with a dirty pipeline view — Monday-you will thank Friday-you.
